LAST CONCERT
June 11, 2024
Burford Festival
We were thrilled to stage a concert in collaboration Water City Music at the Burford Festival on June 11.
The concert was introduced by Brian Kay, renowned for his association with the King’s Singers. His presence added a touch of elegance and prestige to the event. The concert featured Bach’s Double Violin Concerto, Vivaldi’s Summer and George Ewart’s special arrangements of Elgar’s Woodland Interlude. These performances captivated the audience and showcased the incredible talent of the musicians.
Students from Burford Primary School and Langford School performed four songs, two of which celebrated the rich history of Burford Church. The children were specially coached in advance by Ben Goodall, ensuring a stellar performance.
This event marked the first time that a concert of this magnitude, bringing together schools and professional players, had taken took place at the Burford Festival, setting a precedent for future collaborations and musical celebrations.
Earlier this year … Malmesbury Abbey, featuring the Malmesbury Junior Voices
