Emily started to play the violin aged seven. After attaining a degree in music at Royal Holloway, University of London, she undertook a further two years of study with Jacqueline Ross and Peter Thomas and master classes with Erich Gruenberg at Birmingham Conservatoire.

Since then she has led a busy freelance career playing orchestrally with Oxford Philharmonic, English String Orchestra, English Symphony Orchestra, City of Oxford Orchestra and Brighton Philharmonic. She has also toured at home and abroad with Alfie Boe and Il Divo.
